What I love about Eat-All-You-Can restaurant’s is the chance to taste everything they have to offer without paying for a plate of each and every dish. I don’t eat-like-there’s-no-tomorrow though like what other people do.
I recently tried Barbara’s Restaurant’s dinner buffet and cultural dance show. I bought vouchers from Metrodeal two months ago. Would you not buy if you see this deal?
If you also bought this deal, you better make a reservation already because they are always fully booked, especially during weekends. I made a reservation for a friday dinner buffet and had to cancel it an hour before my reservation. Barbara’s was very accommodating. I didn’t hear any sarcasm or any hint of anger when I asked if I can transfer my reservation to another date.
The place. There’s no parking in front of the restaurant itself. Right across the street is San Agustin Church and they charge Php30 for a fixed parking fee. The dining area was on the second floor and it was very homey. The interior looks like our old house, before we had it renovated, in the province. Wooden floors, sliding wooden doors, lovely chandeliers. As soon as you enter the place, a staff will greet you and they’ll show you to a reserved table right after they check your voucher code.
The food. They don’t have a fixed buffet menu, the staff said that they change it everyday. There was a table for the main dishes, a salad bar and a table for the sweets. I didn’t like the soup. I don’t remember the name anymore, the oil must have zapped it out of my brain. It was brown colored, with a few mushrooms and very, very oily. I love the grilled blue marlin with tomato and mango salsa. The roast beef, I was planning to eat on my second serving. When I was about to get some, they already ran out of mashed potatoes but it doesn’t matter since the roast beef was enough to satisfy my taste buds. There was also eggplant lasagna and peppered chicken.
There were 3 available dressing for the salad greens and I love ‘em all. The sweets table was a good selection delectable cakes and other dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The cultural dance show starts at around 7PM and lasts for an hour. The first part was a rondalla medley of Filipino music. The second part showcase the country’s famous folk dances.
Overall, I was happy that I bought the discounted deal. The food was good enough but not that great. If I have friends and relatives visiting from another country, I will surely bring them there to experience the cultural dance show at Barbara’s Restaurant.

this is a good deal! I bought their cruise -dinner buffet but after reading negative feedback from many people I requested for a refund. It’s good to hear that this one is good!
nice deal. i miss intramuros, we used to go here when i was still in college. magregister na rin ko sa metrodeal, abang ng deal. =)
The place looks cool , Mala barrio fiesta. Malapit lang pala sya sa san agustin. NIce. mapuntahan nga to pagbalik ko sa Manila
I wanted to buy this deal but was skeptical ’cause I’ve read a few negative feedback about Barbara’s. Thanks for this review though. I think I’ll give this a go soon..
wooaa… i did not know this place. I need to check this out. One great about this place base on what you said is that they do not have a fix buffet which means we could go there almost everyday (hahaha).. FOOD TRIP
definitely will try it there together with my friends!
parking is one of the problem in the Philippines .if there are parking spaces ,you have to pay for it pero safe naman siguro kaya carry na rin. i like the eat all you can resto too ,we can get all we want in a plate.
I have seen some pics about this restaurant from a friend who also availed metro deal. Would like to try this soon especially with their unique Filipino cultural feel.
Parang so-so lang yung place based on your description but I guess for 250php, it’s worth it na no?
I’ve been to several eat-all-you-can restos and I’m always disappointed with their food and everything. But this one looks promising. well, except for the oily soup.
eat all you can patok sa mga tao especially this days…
So do I. I love all you can eat. I’ll go occassionally because I don’t want to ruin my figure. LOL
